Reflecting On Our Past

by Davidon October 23, 2020October 23, 2020

Venerating the past can cause us to ignore the painful mistakes and prevent us from reevaluating the wisdom of past decisions. Demonizing the past can cause us to ignore the positive steps made and prevent us from understanding the wisdom of past decisions.

As a leader, we must work to celebrate the good from our collective history while we work to restore the broken. We cannot ignore the pain or the progress of the past, but instead, we need to wrestle with it and grow from it.
