We all tend to agree that being a lifelong learner is key to succeeding in our careers. And for our teams to succeed, we need each of them to do the same.
Despite this, too often our “lifelong learning” ends at attending an industry conference once a year and possibly reading a few articles from our industry.
If we want to grow as a leader and as a team, here are 3 questions to consider:
- What have you said or done this week to encourage your team to be lifelong learners?
- How have your actions this week modeled for your team what a lifelong learner looks like?
- When was the last time you asked someone on your team to present a new idea, instead of you doing it as the leader?
Our choices today create tomorrow’s lifelong learners.
